My silly little yellow-rumped warbler, I miss you so much already. We only spent a few days together, but the memories I have of you are priceless. I’ll miss the way you sit on your butt and the way you stare at me like you’re asking questions. You goofy little bird, always pooping everywhere and leaving applesauce hanging from your beak. The people at wildlife center will take much better care of you and help you get better. I hope we meet again someday, and that you never run into any windows again. Adios amigos.

I went to the Giants vs. Padres Game last night! My first time ever seeing the Giants at an away game. It was SO FUN. I was surprised and happy to see so many other Giants fans with their shirts hats blankets, etc. At first I was nervous that I’d be overwhelmingly outnumbered by Padres fans, but it was not the case at all! It was ridiculous that the game went until the end of the 12th inning and sad that the Giants lost at the end, but overall it was an amazing night - after a year hiatus from baseball games, I remember now why I love going to them so much. Didn’t hurt that I had a good view of the field. Can’t wait until the next chance I get to see my Giants play :D

Intern-al Frustration
I’ve been applying and interviewing and networking and more interviewing for summer internships and nothing seems to work out. I always get the first round interview, no problem. For a majority, I get a second interview too. But why is it that I can’t land the internship?! Or that I never hear back?
Am I missing something here?! Am I just that undesirable of a candidate when they finally meet me? Am I just a TINY step worse than the person they do hire? Am I just unlucky? I feel like such a qualified candidate, especially for my age, but I can’t seem to make things work out for me. This anxiety over summer internships is driving me crazy, especially as all my friends fill up their break with really great offers. Sighh I guess I’ll keep trying.
